I'm frustrated!

What frustrates me the most is the fact that I can explain how to write a rhetorical analysis in my blogs but then when it comes to writing the paper I’m stumped. I feel like my paragraphs support my thesis statement but I’m not comfortable with my flow of my paper. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I don’t know if I’m picking the wrong pieces to analyze or if the problem is just me. Regardless on which one is the problem I'm frustrated!

  1. Sarah, have you tried to use "content lexical ties" in your writing? When I don't like the flow of my writing, I try to look for opportunities to add repetition of key ideas, synonyms for them, categories and members of those categories, and text-structuring words (or transitions). I try to use these devices to connect the ideas I have already written. Hope this helps!

  2. Sarah,
I feel your pain! I had such a hard time making my paper flow. I was so frustrated with my paper that I had to take a break from it and not think about it for a while. Eventually I came back to it, thought calmly about how I could improve it, and it began to come together. It was a long and stressful process, but I think it turned out okay.
